They interviewed 180 Democrats (30 percent), 187 Republicans (31 percent) and 233 voters who describe themselves as independent (39 percent). The interviews, conducted on Wednesday and Thursday, were split among the two congressional districts. Only Democrats and independents weighed in on the Democratic primary; Republicans and independents answered for the Republican Party.&lt;/blockquote&gt;
What&#039;s noteworthy is that it&#039;s a small sample, with only 420 people contributing the Republican numbers.</description>
