I think some of John McCain's hostility problems may be rooted in guilt over his involvement in the Keating Five scandal, which cost the taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars.

Amen, John. We're trying to level the playing field John, or at least the right portion of it.

McCain recently voted to eliminate the federal minimum wage. The "liberally-biased MSM" paid absolutely ZERO attention to something that, had it been done by a Democrat, would have immediately become a right-wing noise machine cudgel with which the Republicans would have beaten that Democrat to an unelectable pulp.

As we've learned with Kerry's flubbed joke and Barbara Boxer's misquoted "slur" against Condi Rice, the right loses no opportunity to smear and hatemonger. I don't encourage the left to do the same, but we can't fool ourselves.

This is NOT a level playing field.
