In New York City, a new Quinnipiac poll shows Mayor Michael Bloomberg with a near record 73% approval rating.
Key finding: By a 46% to 16% margin, New Yorkers say that Bloomberg is a better mayor than his predecessor, Rudy Giuliani, with 34% who say both are the same. And by 46% to 31%, they feel Bloomberg would make a better president.
Ouch.

glad to see you guys caught this. speaks volumes, if ya ask me…
so since rudy beats all the dems in all the polls, then this means that they feel that rudy AND bloomberg would be better then the lefts field. thanks browneye, always good to know there are more great republicans out there who trump the libbbbs.
read between the lines, as so many on this site do on a near constant basis, if they all feel rudy is better then the dems, and bloomberg is better then rudy, then bloomberg also trumps the dems, thanks guys for pointing that out!
stretching? rudy is beathing all the dems in every poll, so your site says “look bloomberg edges him in mayoral polls”. now talk about reaching. can’t find any dems beathing rudy in polls so you have to find a republican, in one poll, to smear the mayor, because god knows a day cant go by without this site attacking the future president.
giuliani is nyc’s greatest mayor, ever, period.
matt – any chance you can explain why we have 14 more posts on McCain than Giuliani?
Look your only answer to any of a dozen problems Giuliani has or will have in the near future is that he is currently ahead in the polls. Do you understand how much you fail to address anything we’re saying when you repeat your “rudy’s ahead in the polls” mantra?
i have disproven virtually every filthy smear this site has attempted, and by pointing out his lead in the polls only goes to show how your smear attempts are not effecting his support as many on the left had hoped. this is not ‘92, the right will not stay home on principles like abortion, they will back who can win, despite the nonsense spewed by the likes of this site. rudy can win, win big, and the right knows it.
the aim of the attacks this site continues to spew is to cost rudy giuliani support, yet rudy’s numbers have actually grown since these attacks began, proving that your efforts and those like it are pointless and debunking the principles sites like these are based on is the job of any free thinker tired of sleeze deciding elections. people are sick of sleeze, they are tired of “ooo he had a gay friend” or “oooo he got divorced”. they are, however, plently ready to accept “ooo who took a city of 8 million mired in poverty and murder and turned it into a city of hope, order, and prosperity”.
obama and edwards combined have 8 years of national office under their belts, and no major legislation championed by either of them to show for it, although edwards did notch a loss as vp in ‘04 to his record. not exactly the experience one would desire in a leader during a time of crisis and war to lead the free world.
the other front runner, well lets just say her resume truly begins and ends with her last name. is she even a possiblity if her last name is “Smith”? nope. and her dillusional pandering, phony accents, being a goldwater girl one day and a MLK lover the next, just continue to prove her selfish ambition comes way before the safety and security of the american people.
and thats what the left has to offer, unqualified, weak, and inexperienced against the mayor who single handedly proved the ungovernable to be governable and even then some. no wonder you guys set out to smear him so, i’d be afraid too if i was a socialist liberal.
I love that we’ve simultaneously become responsible for Giuliani’s rise in the polls and a site that covers that the Democratic presidential primary.
It’s amazing what kind of mission shift takes place when your site is defined by illiterate, illogical commentors.
illogical? illogical to want a candidate with experience? illogical to want a candidate with a proven record? illogical to want a candidate who has handled crisis after crisis with poise and strength? what’s illogical is supporting any of the top tier democratic candidates, to do so proves beyond any doubt that one would have no desire to win the war on terror or to live in a safe, free, and stable society. 3 weak, inexperienced, panderers, or america’s mayor? the only logical choice is infact mr. giuliani. so if you favor logic, favor results, favor prosperity you should join up with the likes of matt and the millions of others who will line up in support of rudolph giuliani.
Bill,
I wasn’t suggesting that supporting Giuliani is illogical. Merely that matt is illogical and has repeatedly shown that with his tangential, inconsequential and nonsensical comments on this site.
There are plenty of logical reasons Republicans would want to support Giuliani. I personally disagree with most of them, but not on grounds of logical soundness.
We should NOT be using our troups to facilitate a business deal by big oil. Republicans are too chummy with corporate america, and have caused incredible inflation, especially in housing, gas, and medical. We need gov’t to step in and break up these monopolies (Arco and BP?? whatever!!), and make hospitals non profit again!!
Eliminate the department of Faith based initiatives, as it is not a proper separation of church and state.
Stop committing adultry while espousing traditonal marriage.
The hipocracy on the right is laughable! Very old school, i.e. Not Hip!!
Something to say?

Yet another damning piece of information about Giuliani from those that know him best.
