The base must need crazy red meat if Giuliani’s has to say that electing a Democrat would cause another 9/11. It’s not like Bush was president when on September 11th, 2001. Oh wait! If Giuliani’s willing to shred his limited legacy on his one positive narrative on something like this this early, you know he’s desperately trying to keep the base’s attention.
Now the question is whether the Politico has a video of this moment. These kinds of weird red meat moments don’t usually play well for the candidate and certainly don’t look much better out of print. Case in point. George Felix Allen.
Update: Greg Sargent says that Giuliani’s polemic has now turned into a flip-flop. All while the anti-choice Repubs who make up the Republican base continue to hammer Giuliani on abortion.

boy, every day huffington has giuliani as the headline. if he is so bad and so easy to defeat, then why the scramble by the left to smear him and his legacy? the liberal fear of how easily giuliani can win a general election is growing every day.

no where is there a quote of giuliani saying the words that are in the politico’s headline, no where did he say democrat=9/11. he said pretty clearly: the democrats who are running propose a defensive strategy, and in his view that is a weak strategy that leaves us unsafe.
but this is new modern liberalism, disagreeing with their strategies is now off limits to republicans….wow. the DNC website has a whole article on how republicans make us less safe, rudy says it about them and uh oh its “special komment with kieth oblerloon time” its a scandal, its the lowest low. obama is such a phony, silly barrack hussein.

he didn’t say it would cause another 9/11, simply that we are more likely to get hit under the proposed strategies of the democratic candidates then the different strategies of republican candidates, primarily himself. and its a perfectly valid arguement. every dem has laid out ideas then would take us to a pre-9/11 state of vulnerability, and giuliani is simply pointing that out.
