According to the Associated Press, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani pulled a Katherine Harris.

CONCORD, N.H. — Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani released his latest slate of New Hampshire supporters last week. One problem: Not all of them back the former New York City mayor.

Alongside a former state GOP chairman, a congressman and an executive councilor who do support Giuliani, a handful of people made the list of 125 supporters despite their objections.

man the smears just keep on flying….notice not a day goes by that sites like this, and especially huffington post, dont have a smear headline on rudy. every day huffington leads with a rudy attack, i guess they read the same swing state polls i do. so sad.

“mr. obama 2 american cities have been destroyed by al queda, what would your strategy be to respond”

obama ” duh duh well i wouldnt let floods happen like katrina duh duh i would make sure we know its al queda and then investigate and then duh duh I DONT KNOW MAN I’VE BEEN IN THE SENATE 2 FREAKIN YEARS”

Huffington Post picked that up from the Associated Press. It did not independently report it. HuffPo functions like a news aggregate.

but huffpo does decide what their lead will be, and while there are hundreds of stories to choose from every day, they always seem to find a rudy smear to lead the way, truly amazing.

but what can you expect from the cackling greek banshee and her minions.

You don’t like the HuffPo, fine I can deal with it lower case matt. I’m not hurt. Really.

But your dislike of HuffPo has NOTHING to do with the fact that Giuliani is lying about who endorsed him. HuffPo didn’t make it up. AP didn’t make it up. You haven’t rebutted it.

Giuliani lied about who his supporters are. That is pathetic.

What’s even more pathetic is that he is emulating the laughable Katherine Harris.

At least Romney had ‘support.’ Romney did it the old fashioned way. He paid for it.

he lied? you rule out the fact that it could have just been a mistake? just skip over logic, and bam, he lied. why lie? so 120 endorsements would become 125? that sure makes sense. whats pathetic is the utter fear liberals have of him. this blog, arianna’s attacking him daily, the chairman of the dnc attacking his personal life ie. his family, the ny times harassing his son for gods sake, all the dem candidates lining up to smear him…that my misguided friend…is pathetic.

cant this blog, and others, just compare records and results rather than smearing a mans wife and kids? cant you just line up his resume and compare it to barrack hussein’s without any cheap shots? well i guess if i was a dem and my candidates were as ridculously lacking as the field you are backing, i would turn to the personal attacks too….

lets look at the records:

rudolph william giuliani:

turned a deficit into a surplus by cutting taxes
reduced crime by nearly 70%, reduced murders by nearly 60%
cut police brutality in half
got 600,000 people off welfare and into the workforce
cleaned up peap shows and prostitution rings and made the city acceptable for families
took down the heads of new yorks 5 mafia families
did more than any US attorney to break organized crimes hold on ny
showed impecable leadership during crisis, held nyc, and the country, together during our darkest hour.

barrack hussein obama:

state senator for a few years, no major legislation sponsored

2 years in u.s. senate, no major legislation sponsored

0 executive experience
0 international experience
0 crime fighting experience
0 military experience
0 diplomatic experience

prayed to mohammed and allah

is this really a race, or a landslide in the making?

Since “lower case matt” likes to quote polls, I have a few of my own.

Iowa:
* McCain 26%, Giuliani 19%, Romney 14%, F. Thompson 13%

New Hampshire:
* McCain 29%, Romney 24%, Giuliani 17%

South Carolina:
* McCain 36%, Giuliani 23%, F. Thompson 10%

True to form, lower case matt still hasn’t rebutted the central point of this post. Speculating that it may have been an error is groundless; produce a statement from the Giuliani campaign explaining it that way and we’ll run it.

More to the point about lower case matt’s preference for how debate on this blog works, it’s clear that if he had his way there would be no discussion of Giuliani in day to day specifics. All that would ever merit discussion in this campaign is what Giuliani did or didn’t do as mayor of NYC. What he did since he left office and what he’s doing on the campaign trail (other than a selective use of polls) would never be discussed.

The picture is clear. Lower case matt is scared of people talking about Giuliani so he tries to stop it from happening.

Lest we forget that Giuliani said he would “infrequently” detain Americans without a warrant at will.

I’ll give him credit. At least he’s not completely cryptic about his authoritarian tendencies.

ok fellas, here’s a simple task, list the accomplishments of giuliani and compare them to the democrats top 3 candidates. its really that simple. compare and contrast what these people have actually done, and who has proven their ability to lead. are you guys so blinded by a liberal lust for power that you cant see that giuliani is more qualified to be president then barrack hussein, hillary and edwards combined? seriously, can any of you point to an accomplishment in the record of the 3 top tier dems that comes any where close to what rudy did for the 8 million residents of nyc? please, share with me, this wonderful leadership of your great liberal top tier. what have they done? what skills have they shown? what on earth makes anyone believe they can be left in control of the free world? please, tell me.

lower case matt has now engaged in his obligatory request for a shift in what this blog covers. Sorry, not going to happen.

We have never, ever compared the merits of Democratic and Republican candidates in posts on this blogs. We have occasionally posted comparative poll numbers. If you want to know why Dems think Dems are better than Giuliani, go read MyDD or DailyKos. We only cover the Republican primary here.

Also note that asking comparing the overall values of the Democratic contenders to Giuliani does not serve to answer the question of this post: what does it say about Giuliani that he is lying about who his supporters are?

you have no evidence that he lied. zero. it is far more likely that is was a simple mistake, as he gains nothing about lying about a handful of people out of 120. you expose yourself as a partisan mud slinger with no interest in “covering” the primary when you say things like “rudy lied, case closed”.

but hey, at least rudy never worshipped allah, as the dems rising star loves to do.

Actually if you look up thread I said that I’d happily run any evidence Giuliani wasn’t lying about who his supporters are or any statements from the campaign on the error. You haven’t produced any.

Now ignoring the fact that Barack Obama is not a Muslim and never has been a Muslim, since when is there a religious test to becoming president? Do you hate the Constitution lower case matt? It certainly looks like you do.

so guilty until proven innocent, huh browny? i think with the claims you made, it is your obligation as a peddler of smear news to prove beyond any doubt that your assertion that he flatly lied is true.

barrack hussein was raised muslim as a child, worshiped at a mosque, and has done everything he can to deny his past. lets see, muslim name, muslim step father, lived in largest muslim populated country….do some of your beloved reading between the lines. one nation, under allah…..nice bumper sticker

Please don’t spread misinformation about Barack…he has never been a muslim (and even if he was, so what??).
