Rudy Giuliani: Too Busy for America’s Fighting Men and Women. Newsday reported that the former New York City mayor quit the Iraq Strategy Group in May 2006 after just two months due to “previous time commitments.” He failed to attend a single meeting in those two months. He did, however, manage to make $11.4 million in speaking engagements. (Priorities.)

Rudolph Giuliani’s membership on an elite Iraq study panel came to an abrupt end last spring after he failed to show up for a single official meeting of the group, causing the panel’s top Republican to give him a stark choice: either attend the meetings or quit, several sources said.

Rudy Giuliani: Too Busy for America’s Soldiers.” Sounds like a winning message.

But the Giuliani camp disputes the report that the former mayor did not attend any meetings.

Giuliani’s campaign said that the former New York mayor did participate in Iraq Study Group activities but refused Newsday’s repeated requests to explain how.

Well, I mean, c’mon, Newsday. Give the Giuliani people a little bit of time to get their bogus stories together. We all saw how poor damage control can really snowball things. The guy didn’t even attend the “kick off”event. Furthermore, the “working sessions” were not so frequent that they were overbearing. They had nine — three of which during Giuliani’s short time in the group.

They were only dealing with the most important issue (and biggest strategic blunder) of our day. But, hey, there were millions in campaign seed money that needed to be made.

didn’t take long for orteeega to spin this did it? i’m just surprised the media stopped attacking rudy about his children long enough to talk about this. the best thing rudy can do for the soldiers is to win the white house and spare us a clinton or hussein obama administration. would you rather he stayed on board and attached his name to something he didn’t contribute to? wonder how many other mayors were asked to join the study? i’m sure dinkins’ schedule is pretty clear, and since prominent dems like al sharpton think dinkins was better then rudy, shouldnt james baker have asked him to join the team?

i guess this smear story was needed, though, cant talk about a man’s kids all the time now can we? schuster on a-messnbc did a whole segment attacking rudy about his kids, wonder if they will do a story about bill’s numerous affairs affects on chelsey……somehow i doubt it.

but alas, when the dem field is as huge a disappointing disaster as this crop, i can understand your desire to attack america’s mayor, to try to chip away and bring him down to gutter where obama and his ilk dwell. who knew ‘new politics’ meant racial slurring an entire ethinic group, way to go barrack, i’m sure all the indian doctors, scientists, and professors are happy that you are bringing this freshness to the table.

what a group, barrack the indian bashing disgrace with a blank resume, edwards the champion of the poverty cause, and he will be happy to tell you all about poverty for just 50K, and then talk about the trouble rebuilding homes in new orleans from his newly contructed 30,000 sq ft mansion, and good ol hillary, she married bill so shes the frontrunner, who knew a stone cold feminist would need a man to credential her for president, amazing field indeed.

Something to say?
