There's a slight mischaracterization in the treatment of my piece. I don't say that Republicans are being outspent 3-1 on new media. In fact, they are at near parity. I think R's are a little ahead on a campaign-average basis, and their frontrunners are spending more.

The key assertion behind this piece is not overall budget levels, but *staffing* levels, which are a lot higher on the Democrat side. This is a case where spending money more efficiently and rationally gets you a better return, not just spending more of it.
