From the Kansas City Star:

Sen. Sam Brownback contends Social Security should be shifted to optional personal accounts, because, while it was “great” for his grandparents, “working pretty well” for his parents, and “working so-so” for his generation, it “stinks” for his kids.

By 2017, he said, Americans will either have to raise the deficit, raise taxes, or “admit (the) system won’t meet its obligation.”

Brownback: “They’ll say ‘This will hurt old people.’ We’re not hurting anybody.” He demonstrated that by shuffling change from his left pants pocket to his right pocket and noting that his wealth never increased or decreased.

Next, Brownback folded a $1 bill to make George Washington look like a mushroom, thus proving the case for supply-side economics.

Something to say?
