MSNBC’s First Read caught Fred Thompson shrugging his shoulders at yet another hot political topic: the Jena Six.
Asked about the Jena Six case today on his way into a San Antonio fundraiser, Thompson said, “I don’t know anything about it.”
Seriously — what does this guy know? At least he’s honest in saying he doesn’t know jack about a myriad of topics. Let’s recap. FDT doesn’t know…
- … that there’s oil in the Everglades.
- … if he would back the Florida delegates that are breaking RNC rules.
- … the details surrounding the Terri Schiavo debacle from two years ago.
- … what his strategy to defeat terrorists is other than “we better figure out a way.”
- … a lot about global warming.
- … why a terrorist would attempt to get passed airport security. (Here’s a hint: we’re still vulnerable there, Freddie, and they don’t have to trek through the hot ass desert to do it, either.)
- … why campaign staffers leaving one after another is such a big story.

Something to say?

Thompson is in over his head. He should get out of the race before he embarasses himself any more. Even the guys polling 1% in either party are better prepared than he is. I am not sure where he has been in his lifetime, but he is not in tune with America, current events or recent history. Those are all bad indicators. I’d take Ron Paul, Kucinich, Huckabee… um, just about anybody… over this Thompson joker.
