Bill Kristol weighs in on last night’s Democratic debate:
Last night, for the first time this election cycle, I watched a Democratic presidential debate. It was appalling. But it was also, in a way, encouraging. Before last night, I thought it was 50-50 that the Republican nominee would win in November 2008.
Now I think it’s 2 to 1. And if the Democrat is anyone but Hillary, it’s 4 to 1.
Given Kristol’s record of prognostication on Iraq, I’d say that just about wraps next November up in favor of the Democrats.

[...] Kristol believes, after watching the Democratic debate, that Republican victory in 2008 is all but assured. Given Kristol’s record of prognostication on Iraq, I’d say that just about wraps next November [...]
Does anyone have Kristol’s email or phone number? … at 2:1 (or 4:1) I’d like to put some money down.
Something to say?

the democrats are suffering through these debates.
hillary clinton: was surly and angry when pressed, got exposed badly contradicting her husband, which is a bad sign since he is the entire justification for her campaign.
barrack obama: does this guy even want to win? saying you were against the war from the start at the beginning of every sentence doesn’t help us change the reality of where we are today. he is weak in these forums, unable to land any unches against his rivals, and fails to impress at all. once again, doesnt live up to the hype.
john edwards: angry populist is a traditional archetype that appears in every democrat campaign, however, edwards is such a phony, and russert did a good job exposing how 04 edwards was a complete opposite of 08 edwards. quite simply, the guy who will say anything at all to win.
joe biden: you don’t earn the nickname ‘dumbest man in the senate’ for nothing. biden did nothing of importance except give giuliani a bump in the polls.
bill richarson: this guy would be great if he didn’t speak. ever. he is such a clown on stage, its really troubling to think people have entrusted him with national security and foreign affairs. his race for vp is collapsing, he wont be on the ticket. i think kos hates this guy more then bush.
chris dodd: he was crisp, strong, intelligent, and at the end of the night left us all wondering the same thing: who the hell is chris dodd and why is he running?
dennis kusinich: the lolly pop kid embarassed us all again with his ridiculous leftist fews of everything, from allowing kids to vote at 16, drink at 18, and appear live on syrian state tv to bash american troops at any age!!!
mike gravel: i think he might actaully physically attack someone in one of these debates, i thought he was actaully going for hillary’s throat for a second there. seriously, why do we waste time with gravel, kusinich, tancredo, hunter, brownback, dodd, keyes, and biden. i mean what are they thinking? do they really think they have a hope in hell of winning? they have to know they cant win, so stop wasting our time.
