If elites shouldn't run, in your opinion, who should? Elites lead because they can. If you can lead, you are among the elite group as well.

Time out. I think its atrocious that so much money is being spent on what is suppose to be a democratic process. Don't people realize that only the wealthy elites can compete in this nonsense. This holds true for Congressional seats and even state offices now. Doesn't it bother the electorate that the vast youmajority of us have been screened completely out. All we do is decide what elite gets crowned. It's really no different here than the certification process in the former Soviet Union. The US political process is fraudulent to the very core. If you are not rich, powerful or
connected you and your children can forget about ever being actively involved. It's not for you. This country is owned lock, stock and barrel by elites. Neither party is on your side.

It amazes me that the reporters who write this drivel do not give the American people credit for thinking for THEMSELVES. Yes, Romney spends his money. And yes, his poll numbers are going up. Is he holding a gun to peoples heads to make them change their opinion? No...his message is resonating with the conservative base because THINKING American people decide that they like his message. Would this article even exist if Romney's poll numbers were declining?

Romney may have broken nominal records but the real value of money has been in slow but steady decline. Without adjusting for inflation these numbers mean very little.
