The candidates for the Republican nomination were all asked about seeking Congressional authorization before launching an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. While the media and Rudy Giuliani harp on Mitt Romney’s “consult the lawyers” answer, the most telling responses came from just about everybody else.
Congressman Ron Paul reminded his fellow Republicans that the U.S. Constitution requires the President to get a formal declaration of war from Congress — something this nation has not done since World War II.
