I’m watching this speech with Rudy Giuliani endorsing John McCain, and afterwards McCain gets up there and mentions 9/11 three times in his 5-minute speech.
It’s like a disease that’s catching.
p.s. The end of the prospect of Rudy Giuliani in federal government should bring howls of joy across the nation and maybe even the world. The man was a psychotic with post-traumatic stress disorder, and an authoritarian narcissist who would have been the worst possible outcome for any logical human being. The idea that he would be in any kind of McCain veepstakes is beyond crazy. Um, what great campaigning skills does he bring to the table? Would he compel a strategy of sitting out the general election and waiting for a December run-off?

And you’re right. I really think Rudy is psychotic, as evidenced by that really, really creepy thing he does with his eyes all the time.
And I know lowercase matt will just say that I’m smearing Rudy, but honestly, I don’t feel that this is true.
I am giving an honest assessment of my sense of the man’s character and his mental state.
Watching Rudy closely this past year leaves me no doubt that the man is dangerous and unstable, and mentally unfit to be president.

david, your assessment of him as a vp candidate is flawed for many reasons. 1) you being a total fucking moron doesn’t help. 2) it was said from the start rudy would do better in a general election then in a conservative primary. as VP that won’t matter. 3) vp’s are the attack dog, and against clinton someone who is recognizable enough needs to counter the certain attacks coming from bill clinton. rudy is perfect to deflect bubba and his bullshit. 4) rudy would be the top fundraiser not named romney available. 5) who else is there? crist? no chance, too soft, and he wins florida with his endorsement of mccain alone. pawlenty? nope, too quayle-ish and almost lost in 06. barbour? nope, abramoff problems. it won’t be another senator. and huckabee is the only guy hated more on talk radio then mccain. so whos left with the credibility on a national level, an ability to fundraise, who shares similar strengths as mccain, and is happens to be a friend and confident of mccain, someone he trusts.
turns out rudy’s withdraw from NH to pave the way for mccain was the plan all along. rudy’s baggage would have been too tough this cycle, but as VP, his path clears. he aided mccain in exchange for VP. no one else is credible.
as for noah noah, it is you are dangerous and unstable. when mccain wins, please feel free to go completely over the edge, you won’t be missed.
